At the launch of season 4 of NDTV-Dettol Banega Swachh India campaign, Amitabh Bachchan urged the people to collect the waste, segregate it and compost it for further use. From developing a ?personal contact' with swachhta to inculcating civic sense among people, here are the top five quotes on sanitation and cleanliness by the Mr. Bachchan.

"Very happy that Swachh Bharat has taken off and done so well but we now need to take the next step. We need to collect, segregate and compost waste we generate."

Mr Bachchan believes children are great influencers and have the power to bring about social change. This is why he proposed that, "Waste management is a huge problem and we need to inculcate thinking and training about it at a very young age. We need to have a civics class where this is taught as a part of the school curriculum"

Speaking about the #MereDusGuz initiative, Mr Bachchan said, "If we keep our 10 yards clean, I believe that our cities will become clean. I request everyone to keep their surrounding 10 yards clean. This would set an example and inspire others"

"It is our responsibility to keep our streets clean. We need to stop others from dirtying it and not just wait for government agencies to clean it up. There needs to be a personal connect."
