Photo Feature On Delhi Smog: City’s Famous Landmarks In A Gas Chamber

As Delhi continues to choke in the deadly smog, here’s a look at how this historic city is suffering, through the monuments that define this city

New Delhi: Capital Delhi has been living in a deadly cocktail of toxic smog containing nitrogen oxides, sulphur oxides, ozone and smoke. It is deadly mix, one that has medical practitioners worried enough to call it a public health emergency. From coughing and throat or chest irritation to worsening of asthma symptoms, lung damage and cardiovascular diseases, smog is known for various health implications that can affect even a healthy person.

According to the US embassy measure, the levels of poisonous airborne particles known as PM 2.5 has been hovering in the 450 – 500 range in Delhi, while the recommended limit of air quality by World Health Organisation is 0 – 50.

So, even as people come to terms with this unhealthy, unsustainable reality and political leaders run out of ideas and intent to only trade charges and shift the blame – There is no long term, viable solution in sight yet, to prevent the disaster year after year.

    Our smartphone & TV’s are turning Hd to FHD to 4K and 8K so on but our cities view going backward like old TV view.
