One of the videos posted by Arvind Kejriwal on Twitter shows the story of Vijay Yadav, a cook at the Delhi government’s food distribution centre, who decided to stay back in Delhi and not go home in this time of the pandemic. Explaining why he decided to stay home, he said in the video,

My parents and family back at home ask me to come back almost daily, but if I will go back home, who will feed 30-35,000 people here daily?

Further explaining is day-to-day routine, Vijay Yadav added,

Since the lockdown has begun, we are working for almost 22 hours daily and get rest for about 2 hours only. We start as early as 2 am in the morning to make food for around 30-35,000 people. By 8 am we prepare food so that it can be distributed to over 700 centres. Once the food is out, we begin cleaning the kitchen. By the time we are done, it is time for us to prepare the dinner.
