How To Make A Face Shield At Home To Fight Coronavirus, Actor Sood Shows A Do-It-Yourself Method
Actor Sonu Sood comes in the frontline once again for his exemplary work to fight coronavirus, shares a ‘DIY’ video on how to make face shield at home to fight the pandemic
New Delhi: Actor Sonu Sood has been making headlines and winning hearts for his work in this time of coronavirus pandemic. Be it helping migrant workers reach their native place safely or assisting healthcare workers by providing them safe accommodation in his hotel, the actor has been doing some exemplary work, lately. Continuing his contribution in this tough time, the actor has now come out and shared a Do It Yourself video to show how one can make a face shield at home and safeguard themselves from coronavirus.
At this time of the pandemic, it has become imperative to cover our faces. Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has also made it mandatory for every individual to cover their face with some sort of mask. While some are opting for cloth masks, those who are stepping out for work are going ahead with an extra set of precautions and opting for face shields. Keeping the plight of labourers and other essential workers in mind the actor shared a video showing how to make one at home in a few simple steps.

Explaining the process, Sonu Sood said, “Just take a transparent file cover, cut it in two so that you have separate sheets. Now, use a punching machine and punch two holes at the edge on one side. Last and final step, insert your specs in those holes and wear your face shield mask and stay safe.”

The actor on May 29 (Friday) also came to the rescue of 117 girls as he helped them reach home in Odisha. As a part of his initiative, “Ghar Bejho”, Sonu Sood airlifted the girls who were stuck in Kerala’s Ernakulam due to the nationwide lockdown. The actor took permission from the government to have Kochi and Bhubaneswar airports opened and a special aircraft was arranged from Bengaluru to airlift 177 girls from Kerala to Bhubaneswar and help them return to their families. The act of kindness gained actor thumbs up from Chief Minister of Odisha Naveen Patnaik. Thanking the star for his contribution, he said,

Earlier in May, the actor also facilitated several buses for workers stuck in Mumbai due to the coronavirus-forced nationwide lockdown. He has also sent workers to far off states such as Karnataka, Bihar, Jharkhand and Uttar Pradesh. Along with all this, to keep his work going, Sonu Sood has launched a toll-free helpline to help migrants in reaching home.

Sonu Sood had also met Maharashtra governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari on May 30 (Saturday) at Raj Bhavan to notify him of the work he is doing to help migrants amid the coronavirus-induced lockdown.
The governor applauded the actor’s work and assured him support. On his social media, the governor gave him a big thumbs up and said,
