Can fashion change and save the world? With this question, Indian designer Masaba Gupta launches #IWillWearOutPlastic fashion line in which each dress or garment comes with an exclusive accessory – a detachable reusable bag
New Delhi: Fashion designer Masaba Gupta has come up with a smart alternative to cut down the use of plastic bags. With her new clothing line called ‘I Will Wear Out Plastic’ in which each dress or garment comes with an exclusive accessory – a detachable reusable bag. This fashion initiative aims at eliminating single-use plastic bags and promotes sustainable fashion as a concept thereby extending support to India’s commitment to becoming a plastic-free country by 2022. Sharing details about her latest collection the designer took to social media and said,
I am sure all of us know what the state of the environment is today. I am sure that all of us are trying to do our little bit for the future generations to come. This is House of Masaba’s way of giving back to the environment. The motto behind this collection is to phase out the use of single-use plastic from everyone’s everyday lifestyle. So, wherever you think plastic is wanted, you could turn up there with your dress and instead of using plastic bags that are choking our planet, use a fashionable solution.
