- PM is proud of children raising awareness on defeating coronavirus
New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday (April 16) tweeted a video of children explaining how the disease COVID-19 spreads and how social distancing can play a pivotal role in breaking the chain of transmission of the novel coronavirus. Sharing the 59-second long video, Prime Minister wrote, “What children said playfully is a key lesson in staying safe from the coronavirus pandemic.”
In the video shared by PM Modi, a group of children are seen using bricks to explain the spread of the COVID-19 disease. Drawing reference from a domino effect, one of the children said,
Suppose all these are human beings – first, second, third – and one of them is infected with COVID-19.
Further depicting how one person can transmit the infectious disease to others, one of the children slightly pushes the first brick in the line which causes the following bricks to fall one after another and this way the entire circle of bricks topple over.
After explaining the transmission of the virus, one of the children asks, ‘how do we prevent this disease?’
To this, another child again demonstrates the fall of bricks. While the bricks are falling, one of the bricks from somewhere in between is removed thus breaking the chain reaction. The bricks standing tall imply that those human beings have not contracted the virus; the chain of transmission has been broken due to social distancing (depicted by one of the bricks being removed).

The song is an appeal to citizens to fight the battle against coronavirus together.
The song further lists out the ways to protect oneself from the disease; it involves – avoiding crowded places, staying at home, instead of hugging each other, fold hands and say ‘namastey’; wear a mask; maintain social distance.
