Akshay Kumar has partnered with Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) for Mumbai’s Swachh Survekshan 2018 cleanliness campaign.

In Swachh Survekshan 2017, Mumbai’s swachh rankings dropped to 29th rank from the 10th place in 2016. The main area in which city has been lagging behind was the Citizen Feedback and that’s why this year BMC is doing their best to improve in that particular area.

This year, 35 percent weightage is being given to citizen feedback alone, an increase of 5 percent from the previous year.

In general, for the first time in history the survey will cover all the 4,041 towns in the country that is home to more than 40 crore people. In 2017, 434 cities with over 1 lakh population and all the state capitals were ranked. In 2016, mere 73 cities with over 10 lakh population and all the state capitals were ranked.
