Actress Priyanka Chopra, talking at the 12-hour Swasthagraha initiated by NDTV and Dettol’s Banega Swasth India campaign, said that “little changes” in our lifestyle can come together to make a big change and help preserve our environment. Urging people to look beyond countries and borders, she said,
“We have one earth. Instead of looking at each other, we should look within ourselves and make little changes.”
It’s the little changes, she said, that would ultimately help address the “extremely urgent problem” of climate degradation.
The idea of making small changes in our lifestyle was also touched upon by actress Dia Mirza at the Swasthagrah this morning, who asked people to do little things like replacing plastic toothbrushes with bamboo ones.
Priyanka Chopra also spoke about the issue of malnutrition in India.
“About one-fourth of children in India are malnourished which acts as a hurdle to their development. It is extremely important for parents and schools to know how significant nutrition is for children,” said The Sky Is Pink actress. “All stakeholders need to come together to tackle malnutrition.”
