In the 75-second video, Mr Chouhan is in the hospital attire in a room from Bhopal’s Chirayu Hospital, where he was admitted on Sunday afternoon. He described himself as ‘absolutely fine’ and reassured his followers that ‘there is no need to fear’. He also praised the healthcare workers who are treating him. He said,
I am absolutely fine, my friends. The dedication of coronavirus warriors, who selflessly risk their lives, is praiseworthy. I salute all coronavirus warriors of the state who are working for their patients.

Timely treatment will make you healthy, he said in the video.
On Saturday, CM Chouhan confirmed that he has tested positive for COVID-19 despite his best efforts to avoid infection and warned people that ‘just a little carelessness invites the coronavirus’.
The Chief Minister repeatedly is urging everyone on Twitter to follow hygiene protocols and guidelines laid down by the centre, which include social distancing and the use of face masks.
Keep two metres distance, wash your hands frequently and wear face masks – these are the biggest weapons we have to avoid the coronavirus. I appeal to all people – use these weapons for yourself and your loved ones. All of you be careful, stay safe and healthy. This is what I pray to God, Mr Chouhan added.
Mr Chouhan’s immediate family – his wife Sadhna Singh and sons Kartikeya and Kunal – have all tested negative for the virus, although they are in quarantine as a precautionary measure, an MP health department official told NDTV. Madhya Pradesh has nearly 27,000 confirmed COVID-19 cases, of which more than 7,600 remain active while 799 people succumbed to the infection.
NDTV – Dettol Banega Swasth India campaign is an extension of the five-year-old Banega Swachh India initiative helmed by Campaign Ambassador Amitabh Bachchan. It aims to spread awareness about critical health issues facing the country. In wake of the current COVID-19 pandemic, the need for WASH (Water, Sanitation and Hygiene) is reaffirmed as handwashing is one of the ways to prevent Coronavirus infection and other diseases. The campaign highlights the importance of nutrition and healthcare for women and children to prevent maternal and child mortality, fight malnutrition, stunting, wasting, anaemia and disease prevention through vaccines. Importance of programmes like Public Distribution System (PDS), Mid-day Meal Scheme, POSHAN Abhiyan and the role of Aganwadis and ASHA workers are also covered. Only a Swachh or clean India where toilets are used and open defecation free (ODF) status achieved as part of the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in 2014, can eradicate diseases like diahorrea and become a Swasth or healthy India. The campaign will continue to cover issues like air pollution, waste management, plastic ban, manual scavenging and sanitation workers and menstrual hygiene.
