Swachh Shimla: Rating Machines Installed At Public Toilets
In a first, the Shimla municipal Corporation would install rating machines at all public toilets in the city, enabling people to give feedback about their sanitary conditions.
Shimla: In a first, the Shimla municipal Corporation would install rating machines at all public toilets in the city, enabling people to give feedback about their sanitary conditions.
The corporation has installed the first rating machine at a public toilet near Town Hall on a pilot basis. Rating machines would also be installed soon at other toilets, Shimla municipal Corporation (SMC) Commissioner Pankaj Rai said.
The machines will facilitate the locals and tourists to provide their opinion or satisfaction/dissatisfaction over the cleanliness and the concerned authorities would follow up accordingly to improve the conditions, he said.
Mr Rai said that there would be three buttons on the machine — green, yellow and red. The users can press the green button in case the sanitary conditions are good, yellow in the case of satisfactory and red in case of poor.
In case any toilet gets more red ratings as compared to others colours, the corporation will immediately take action, he said.
