Banega Swasth India At Kumbh Mela 2025: Explore The Health And Hygiene Initiatives

At the Maha Kumbh Mela 2025 in Prayagraj, where millions of pilgrims from around the globe converge, the need for robust health facilities is paramount. In line with this, Dettol Banega Swasth India is takes proactive steps to promote health and hygiene through engaging Nukkad Natak performances.

Dettol Banega Swasth India has arranged vibrant Nukkad Natak performances that creatively highlight the essential health services and hygiene facilities provided at the Maha Kumbh.

To ensure a "Swachh Kumbh", the state is deploying 10,000 staff members, setting up 1.5 lakh toilets, and placing 25,000 dustbins across the venue.

Extensive arrangements are made, including temporary townships with tents, sanitation facilities, healthcare services, security, and transport systems. According to PTI, almost 15,000 sanitation workers are deployed at the Mela area.

Advanced surveillance systems are in place to monitor crowd health and safety.

With a focus on sustainability, the Mela incorporates eco-friendly practices, including waste management, clean energy use, and initiatives to maintain the cleanliness of the sacred rivers.

Pilgrims will have 24x7 access to personalized healthcare services. According to PTI, a team of 240 doctors from across India forms the backbone of Maha Kumbh's healthcare system.

According to PTI, a 100-bed hospital has been set up at the Parade Ground for the devotees.

Nine new ghats have been constructed in Maha Kumbh to facilitate bathing for devotees, alongside the 35 existing ghats.

There are day-and-night multi-OPD clinics, mobile healthcare units, and yoga camps to promote holistic health at Maha Kumbh.
