Gearing Up for the 12-Hour Banega Swachh India Cleanathon
Dettol NDTV Banega Swachh India campaign launched its second season on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti. Amitabh Bachchan extended his support as the campaign ambassador for the second year around. This year the campaign's focus will be on bringing about changes in the behaviour of school children and communities. The 12-hour Cleanathon this year aims to get people to pledge their time to join the clean-up drives across India throughout the year.
About 400-500 volunteers are taking a step towards #SwachhIndia and cleaning the banks of river Yamuna in Delhi. They hope their efforts won't go in vain and people will refrain from littering the banks once it has been cleaned.
