International Yoga Day 2023: Glimpses Of How India Celebrated The Day
On International Yoga Day, President, Vice President and various Cabinet ministers and Chief Ministers including Mansukh Mandaviya, Smriti Irani, Anurag Thakur, Yogi Adityanath, commemorated the day by performing yoga in different parts of IndiaOn International Yoga Day, President Droupadi Murmu led the celebrations at Rashtrapati Bhavan in the morning and urged everyone to adopt yoga in their daily lives and experience its transformative power. "Yoga brings together the body and the mind and it is a holistic approach to life. It helps us all to be in a better position to meet the increasing challenges around us," she tweeted.
Kicking off the 9th edition of the International Yoga Day celebrations, Prime Minister Narendra Modi extended his wishes to everyone through a special video message in which he called yoga a 'global movement' that unites everyone and stated that Yoga can lay the foundation of healthy and prosperous India
Union Home Minister Amit Shah extended his wishes to the citizens on International Yoga Day. In a tweet, the home minister said, "Yoga is the medium to concentrate the body, mind and soul, which not only makes the body healthy but also the brain. This is an invaluable heritage given by India to the world, which Narendra Modi ji has worked to take to the whole world.
Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya participated in a Yoga program at AIIMS, New Delhi on the occasion of International Day Yoga 2023. Sharing his message on the occasion, Dr. Mandaviya said, "Yoga is spreading the message of 'Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam' all over the world. Let us all together adopt yoga in our life and build a healthy body."
Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel practises Yoga in Surat on the occasion of International Yoga Day. "The celebration of this day will be very important in making everyone's life healthy and stress-free and in perpetuating the spirit of Vasudhaiva Kutumkam (Entire world is a familly) globally."
