Special Campaign 3.0: Union Health Ministry’s Cleanliness Drive For Swachhata

The Special Campaign 3.0 on Swachhata (cleanliness) initiated by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare on October 2, successfully came to an end on October 31. Here's how various government departments contributed and engaged in the campaign

Multiple sensitisation sessions were conducted in government schools of Delhi, by the National Center for Vector Borne Diseases Control (NCVBDC) team, on cleanliness, hygiene and prevention and control of vector-borne diseases.

All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), in New Delhi, Andhra Pradesh and Bihar, Pasteur Institute of India in Tamil Nadu, Central Government Health Scheme (CGHS) in Uttar Pradesh, and Regional Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS) in Manipur, participated and contributed in the Special Campaign 3.0.

Indian Council for Agricultural Research initiated vermicomposting using spent mushroom straw at village Bagsala, Odisha.

A cleanliness drive under Special Campaign 3.0 was conducted by Krishi Vigyan Kendra Knowledge Network, at village Kanda, in Uttarakhand.

The Ministry of Earth Sciences launched multiple initiatives under the campaign, with a strong emphasis on office waste collection and segregation towards reuse, reduce and recycle.

Food Corporation of India, Mandmad in Nashik, Maharashtra, carried out Swachhata Abhiyan in the office.

The All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Mangalagiri in Andhra Pradesh distributed saplings to the occupants of Residential Quarters and also conducted a cleanliness drive.

The Central Institute of Higher Tibetan Studies (CIHTS), conducted a quiz contest on the topic of making India plastic-free. A cleaning drive was also conducted at the connecting road of the institute's hostel and its premises.

The National Council of Science Museums (NCSM) organised a ?Waste-To-Art' event as a part of the Special Campaign 3.0.

An awareness programme on Swachhata was organised by the Embassy of India in Kathmandu.

The Central Industrial Security Force carried out a cleanliness drive at Bandrabhan, West Bengal, under the Special Campaign 3.0.
