Child malnutrition has emerged as a silent national emergency and the greatest human development challenge for India. According to the World Health Organization, child malnutrition accounts of 68 per cent of all infant mortality rate in India.
In 2019, Reckitt Benckiser conceptualised Nutrition India Programme with an aim to work together with the communities, to push for solutions more rapidly on the ground. The programme is presently working with the Maharashtra government to end malnutrition in state’s Amravati and Nandurbar districts, considered to be one of the toughest regions.
