Climate Change And Public Health In Uttarakhand
At the launch of Banega Swasth India Season 11, Dr. Vartika Saxena, Head of Community and Family Medicine, AIIMS Rishikesh, discussed how climate change has affected the health of vulnerable populations in Uttarakhand. She explained that different areas face unique challenges. "To prevent diseases, we must adapt our actions to the specific region. The upper and mid-Himalayan areas are more prone to flash floods, while other regions experience drought," she said.
