COVID-19 Vaccine FAQs: Can Pregnant, Lactating Women Take COVID Vaccine?

While answering some frequently asked questions for COVID-19 vaccination, Dr Prashant Saxena, Associate Director and Head, Pulmonology and Sleep Medicine and Associate Director, Critical Care, Max Smart Super Speciality Hospital said that pregnant and lactating women can take the COVID-19 vaccine. He said that when vaccines were launched, the recommendation was that pregnant and lactating women should not take the jab. But, now the recommendation has changed and even pregnant women and lactating mothers can get vaccinated, he said.
