Van Mahotsav, an annual tree-planting movement in India, began in 1950; it means festival of forests and has gained significant national importance. Every year, millions of saplings are planted across India in observation of Van Mahotsav week. As a part of the NDTV Dettol Banega Swachh India Campaign, we salute Radhika Anand, who through her initiative Mission Fal-Van is doing her bit for the environment and is helping increase India's green cover.
