At the launch of Season 11 of Banega Swasth India campaign, Zarina Screwvala, Managing Trustee, Swades Foundation, reflects on the journey of promoting sanitation since 2003. She said, "Sanitation is vital. Initially, people didn't want to pay for toilets; it was difficult. At Swades, we believe that the community must contribute to everything they have so they can develop a sense of pride and ownership. We are not doing charity; we are empowering people."
