Published On: July 9, 2018 | Duration: 2 MIN, 08 SEC
Airshed Park in Delhi's Vasant Kunj had less than 5 per cent of green cover, but thanks to Environmentalist and founder of Swechha, Vimlendu Jha, now the park has 90 per cent of the green cover. Under Swechha's campaign 'Monsoon Wooding', Vimlendu and his volunteers and supporters, have planted over a 1,000 trees in a period of 10 years in Airshed Park alone. Along with this, the park now has a butterfly garden, a kitchen garden, a 400 meter long trail through the budding forest and a composting unit.
