"Aviation doesn't contribute a huge amount of pollution. We contribute about 1-2% of air pollution. That still doesn't mean that we don't have a responsibility," said Spicejet CEO Ajay Singh on Banega Swasth India 12-hour Swasthagraha, a campaign for a healthy India with Amitabh Bachchan. "We started a flight which runs purely on bio-fuel. We flew a plain from Dehradun to Delhi on bio-fuel and this fuel was manufactured by the Indian Institute of Petroleum," he added. He also said, "Ultimately, our goal must be that we fly a large number of flights using clean fuel".
