Mr Gadkari is “spot on” when he states that there shall be no politics “Search Bharat” Mission. But the same philosophy was totally forgotten when as a Opposition Party between 2004-14, the Party was opposing all initiatives with a long term vision – Land Reforms, Aadhar Card,GST,RTI, ETC to name only a few – on the specious plea that it is their obligation to oppose the initiatives as a responsible Opposition to press for amendments which they felt needed in public interest. If bi-partisan politics is to take strong roots in India, the Ruling Dispensation must cede time and space for Opposition as in real terms it’s the strong opposition that ensures the Ruling Party performs and gets an opportunity to get re-elected. To quote Sir Connan Doyle “it is elementary Dr Watson”. Suggestions of Mukth of Opposition Parties is churlish and self defeating. Will the “Think Tank” of the party direct it’s Spokespersons to engage in meaningful dialogues in debates and discussions and not indulge in personal attacks or retorts. Is anyone in the position of authority or decision making listening to well intended suggestion or wish to go the same way the Congress Party went. Jai Hind.
