Topic Of Menstruation Is Challenging For Pre-menstrual Girls: Nishi Mishra

Nishi Mishra, Principal, Scindia Kanya Vidyalaya at the 12-hour #SwasthyaMantra telethon said that the topic of menstruation is extremely challenging to the pre-menstrual girls, who are bewildered to know about the changes in her body. Ms Mishra said that with her students, she set up a sanitary napkin manufacturing unit in the school and they distributed napkins to the women in the nearby village. Soon after, they raised funds and established a unit in the village itself, which is now being run by group of women who are operating it, earning a livelihood and are also giving it for free to the women in another underprivileged areas, she explained.
