New Delhi: Police officials across the country are serving the nation even during the coronavirus pandemic. They are a part of the frontline warriors fighting the battle against the Novel Coronavirus and ensuring the safety and security of fellow countrymen. In order to thank the corona warriors for their kind service during a crisis, Bollywood actor Hrithik Roshan made a contribution towards safeguarding their health and safety. The actor facilitated the delivery of hand sanitisers to Mumbai Police personnel on duty.

Thanking the actor, Mumbai Police shared the news on Twitter and wrote, “Thank you @iHrithik for this thoughtful gesture of delivering hand sanitisers for Mumbai Police personnel on duty. We are grateful for your contribution towards safeguarding the health and safety of our frontline warriors. #MumbaiPoliceFoundation

Mumbai Police also noted that be it terrorists or corona like epidemics, Mumbai Police is always ready to fight.

Replying to the Mumbai Police on social media, the actor wrote, “My gratitude to our police forces, who have taken our safety in their hands. Stay safe. My love & respect to all in the line of duty.”

From participating in an at-home concert, a fund raising concert organised to raise money for India COVID Response fund to raising awareness about COVID-19 through his video messages to contributing to The Akshaya Patra Foundation for facilitating 1.2 lakh nutritious cooked meals to old age homes, daily wage labourers and low income groups across India, Hrithik Roshan has been contributing in the fight against coronavirus in some way or the other.

Earlier on March 24, the actor shared a video message on his Instagram, making a fervent appeal to his fans – stop the spread. In the video, the actor shared two simple steps to follow to break the chain and contain the spread of coronavirus.

Hrithik started his video appeal by stressing on the inevitable truth and said, “Friends, today we are going through a difficult phase in our lives. Coronavirus is that one truth which spreading fast and now we cannot set our face against this disease, the truth and conditions. We have to face it and there are a few steps that can be taken that can stop the spread of the coronavirus epidemic.”

Sharing the first step – hand washing and requesting people to follow it, the actor said,

The first step is to keep yourself and your hands clean. Wash your hands with soap, every hour. This is an easy way to stop this epidemic. Please do it.

The second crucial step shared by the actor is social distancing which is backed by experts and doctors. The actor requested his fans to maintain a distance of at least six feet and stay in touch with their families through phone calls and video calls rather than going out.

This is a very crucial time and if we let it slip by I don’t know what will happen. So please listen to me carefully. Come, let’s be responsible. Let’s fight this virus. We are together in this. Let’s take care of each other. All the best. My love to you all, the actor said.
