New Delhi: Actor Sidharth Malhotra, while talking at the 12-hour Swasthagraha initiated as part of NDTV and Dettol’s Banega Swasth India campaign, spoke about what the word ‘swasth’ means to him and shared tips for staying fit.

Sidharth then spoke about ways of staying healthy, talking about an issue that many will relate with – that off too much screen time. Urging people to put down their devices and turn off their screens to detox, he said that it would lead to better health. In a light-hearted moment, the Student Of The Year actor also agreed that people reducing screen time would eat into his business, but that he would take the risk if it means paving the way for a healthier India.

Sports is a great medium to stay healthy and happy, he said, asking viewers to take up a sport to play with their friends or family.
During the conversation, he also emphasised upon the need for proper nutrition.
I look at my body as the best machine in the world which works well and can heal itself. We fuel it with proper food and nutrition, he said.
