NDTV and Dettol come together to launch the Banega Swasth India campaign with Ambassador Amitabh Bachchan and NDTV's Prannoy Roy. Sanitation is number one priority. India cannot grow without focussing and improving on health and sanitation. The challenge is about taking this issue of health and nutrition and making it a 'jan andolan' (people's movement) as health actually involves 40 per cent sanitation, 40 per cent health and 20 per cent food, states Niti Ayog's Amitabh Kant at the launch of Banega Swasth India campaign.
Chalo Chalien Anagwadi in Rajasthan are promoting the practice of handwashing in a unique way by fashioning a small device called ?Tipi-tapi water taps'. They are also utilising the traditional festivals and practices followed during pregnancies in various communities to promote nutrition and hygiene.
