On World Environment Day, Bollywood Says ‘Hawa Aane De’, Asks Fans To Help Curb Air Pollution
From Akshay Kumar, Arjun Kapoor to Anushka Sharma, Shraddha Kapoor and Dia Mirza, among others, come forward asking citizens to help curb Air Pollution in the country
New Delhi: On World Environment Day, Bollywood celebs come forward to spread awareness about the growing issue of air pollution in the country, which is also the theme this year. From Akshay Kumar, Arjun Kapoor and Varun Dhawan to Anushka Sharma, Shraddha Kapoor and Dia Mirza, among others, the stars have urged their fans to do their bit for the environment and help reduce their carbon footprint, thereby making planet green, clean and healthy.
Actor Akshay Kumar sharing World Environment Day’s official anthem song which has been released by Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MoEFCC), ahead of the 46th World Environment Day, said,

‘Air pollution affects us all & it’s an issue that has been trying to get our attention for a while,’ said Arjun Kapoor urging people to take immediate actions. He further added,

Sharing a message on Instagram, Actor Anushka Sharma asked people to take a pledge to reverse the environmental damage, she added,

Actor and UN Environment Sustainable Development Goals Advocate, Dia Mirza did her bit on the World Environment Day by planting trees, she added,

How Air Pollution Is Affecting Our Health
As per the State of Global Air 2019 report, air pollution was responsible for taking 1.2 million lives in 2017. But UN expert on the environment and human rights states that air Pollution is a silent killer that is responsible for the premature death of 7 million people each year globally, including 600,000 children

NDTV – Dettol Banega Swachh India campaign lends support to the Government of India’s Swachh Bharat Mission (SBM).
