New Delhi: Union Minister M Venkaiah Naidu on May 4 released a set of four story books for children to create awareness regarding cleanliness among them. Titled ‘Swachh Jungle ki kahani – Dadi ki Zubani’, the books are published in 15 languages so that the cleanliness message could be reached out to maximum children.
“The books aimed at sensitising and creating awareness among children would provide a fillip to the Prime Minister’s Swachh Bharat Abhiyan which has become a Jan Andolan (people’s movement) across the nation, an official release said
Publications Division, a media unit of Information and Broadcasting Ministry, has published the set of four story books written by renowned children’s author Madhu Pant.
They would convey the message in an interesting manner through the clean jungle tales, the release said.
Children had been the best medium to bring about behavioural change in the society and motivate their parents, relatives and friends to adopt cleanliness, it added.
