RB and NDTV have partnered to launch “Dettol – Banega Swachh India” – a 5 year ambitious program to address the rising need of hygiene and sanitation in India.
The campaign will aim at creating awareness about the importance of hygiene and sanitation, and also work with NGO partners to support infrastructure for construction and maintenance of toilets. RB India has committed to spend a sum of Rs 100 crores towards this program over a period of the next 5 years.
As a part of this initiative, NDTV & Dettol are organising a 12 hour LIVE televised CLEANATHON on 14th December, 2014, which will bring together the entire nation towards better sanitation & hygiene. Mr Amitabh Bachchan is our campaign ambassador and will be the host of this event.

I stay at Kandivali and there are about 250 houses living in paghdi system from last 6 decades and more than 800 residents.
We have just about 15 to 20 toilets and half of them are in very bad state. Developer is not ready to repair it as the property is in litigation. Also when we try to come together to build toilets individually, municipal corporation denies permission.
There are many senior citizens and handicap residents as well. Access to common toilet is as good as punishment.
Also there is broken drainage line of builders banquette hall which spreads stink and all latrine water comes on road.
Requesting you to help us as no body is ready to resolve our issues including politicians.
