India’s Fight Against Coronavirus

As of March 25 (6:45 PM), 606 cases of coronavirus have been reported in India. While 43 individuals infected with the virus have recovered, 10 casualties have been noted. To contain the spread of the novel coronavirus in India and ensure every citizen follows social distancing, PM Modi has announced a nationwide lockdown for 21 days. He had said,

From 12 midnight, the entire country will go under complete lockdown. The lockdown will be for 21 days — three weeks. This lockdown is in a way a curfew and would be more stringent than the Janata curfew. To break the chain of spread, 21 days of lockdown is absolutely necessary. If we don’t manage these 21 days, the country will be set back by 21 years. Some families will be destroyed forever.

During the lockdown, the supply of all essential services like groceries, medicines, and others will remain functional.
