Donate Now For ‘Swasth Kit’ To Meet Health And Nutrition Needs Of A New Mother And Her Child

Join hands to support NDTV, Dettol and Smile Foundation in the ‘Banega Swasth India’ campaign, to create a better and healthier environment for mothers and children

According to the World Health Organisation (WHO) in India there are approximately 28 million pregnancies and 26 million live births, which implies that two million children either die at birth or are still born. The same report mentions 67,000 maternal deaths, and a million neonatal deaths. Though India has made strong progress towards reducing maternal and child deaths, a lot remains to be done.

A ‘Swasth Kit’ has been developed by Smile Foundation for mothers and children. The kit has been developed based on technical know-how and years of on-ground experience of working with less privileged and hard to access communities, which will support the health and hygiene needs of the mother for 45 days, a time extremely crucial for both the new mother and new born.

Donate and support the campaign to combat mother and child deaths in India.
