New Delhi: The National Green Tribunal has directed the Delhi government and other authorities concerned to ensure that no blood is allowed to flow directly into river Yamuna due to slaughtering of animals. A bench headed by Acting NGT Chairperson Justice U D Salvi said it is undisputed that animal blood going into the river is an act of violation of the provisions of Water (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and it must be stopped.
