According to United Nations, in the year 2050, there will be more plastic in oceans than fishes unless people stop using single-use plastic items and littering the planet with it. In her war against plastic, Dia Mirza made a plea to everyone,
I urge everyone to give up the toxic relationship with plastics and find a new love. Break up with your plastic bag, replace it with a cloth bag, break up with your plastic straw, replace it with a bamboo, metal or a glass straw, break up with your plastic toothbrush, replace it with a bamboo toothbrush, break up with a ear bud, replace it with a bamboo ear bud. Cups, mugs and bottles, have all replaceable alternatives, you just have to find your new love.
