In the fourth and the fifth strand of the Swachhta Curriculum, the NDTV-Dettol Banega Swachh India campaign looks at informing children about the importance of Cleanliness During Illnesses and Cleanliness in the Neighbourhood respectively. The 45-lesson hygiene curriculum and teacher-training module will be distributed in 10,000 schools across India with the hope that children will incorporate hygienic habits in their daily routines. Personal Hygiene, Hygiene at Home, and Hygiene at School are three other aspects that have been collated in the curriculum.

This part of the curriculum focusses on why it is imperative to keep our neighbourhoods clean to avoid falling sick and lead healthier lives.
