Every year with Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations comes huge environment risks as several thousands of people choose to immerse the idols made of Plaster Of Paris that does not dissolve in the water completely and ends up choking India’s already dying water bodies. In a bid to avoid this situation and spread the ‘Go Green’ message on Ganesh Chaturthi, Actor Riteish Deshmukh who’s known for his DIY videos on Twitter, decided to show the world how to make an eco-friendly Ganpati idol from scratch at home. The 38-year-old actor made a creative Ganpati idol from clay with a planter attached to it.
Dedicating this Ganpati Idol to the farmers of the country, Riteish Deshmukh, who is currently in USA with his family, said, “Celebrating Ganesh Chaturthi in America, Made an idol, I humbly dedicate it to our farmers.”
