Tapping into the rich culture of folk music in India, Dettol Banega Swasth India through Dettol X Hindu Tamil Thisai initiative – Folk Music for a Swasth India, launches hygiene music album in Tamil. The aim is to spread the message of basic hygiene practices that one should follow for a Swasth India through melodious folk.
The initiative is backed by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of Tamil Nadu with an intention to create hygiene nudges through folk music and build a deeper connect between health and hygiene in a fun way.

Talking about the initiative, Gaurav Jain, Senior Vice President, Reckitt South Asia said,

About Hygiene Folk Songs
The melodious and foot tapping folk songs aim to spread the message of hygiene and health in an innovative and fun way. The lyrics of the song have been carefully articulated to highlight key messages from the Dettol School Hygiene Curriculum.
Last year, with an aim to reach out to children in Rajasthan and across the country with music and connect them with hygiene and education in a fun way, Dettol Banega Swasth India has collaborated with Rais Khan Project. As part of this collaboration, Rais Khan project has composed five folk songs as part of India’s first music album on hygiene, launched ahead of Rajasthan Day, which is marked on March 30.

It highlights that by washing hands one can save oneself from numerous illnesses like Pneumonia, Diarrhoea, COVID-19 among others.
